The skippers

The skippers:

Eve and Jerry got bitten by the sailing bug in the late 80's when they "swept themselves out to sea" on the vast waters of Lake Winnipeg, Manitoba; a lake so big it has been dubbed "Prairie Ocean". They were members of Canadian Yachting Association and
were involved actively in Gull Harbour Sailing Association where Eve was a Commodore.

Their  summers were spent discovering and exploring the beautiful and often mysterious corners of  this great lake, all the while playing with the many different winds Mother Nature decided to provide them with, some barely there, and some extremely challenging.

In 1999 they packed up the boat and took her down to Florida, to sail the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico for 3 months, ringing in the new millenium with the dolphins.

It was not long before the need to spread their sails even further struck. The decision to move to British Columbia was made, and that they did; to the beautiful West Kootenays. Now they and their boat "Eve"  are happy on stunning Kootenay Lake.

The Boat:

"Eve"  has sailed the Gulf of Mexico, the Bermuda Triangle, Lake Superior, Lake Winnipeg and now she cruises the pristine waters of Kootenay Lake. "Eve" is a sleek, 30 foot, oceangoing, German build boat. Now, after playing with the wind on many lakes, she calls Kootenay Lake a home.
